Santa Catarina Barahona and San Antonio Aguas Calientes are two beautiful indigenous towns situated in the same valley, around 10km outside of colonial Antigua, Guatemala. These towns are tranquil and traditional, surrounded by forested hills and coffee farms. The women are skilled weavers and the men are skilled carpenters, and everyone has farmers in the family. There is a local hotel, family stays, or AirBnB’s available, as well as several small family restaurants offering fresh local food (also fish, pizza and steak). Antigua is an easy Uber or chicken bus ride away. We await your visit!
